I worked a half-day at work today, so that I can help Sportsboy and some of his classmates into their Halloween costumes. Sportsboy was a ninja. Some of his classmates were witches, a farmer, grim reaper, and characters from movies.
After helping children get into their costumes, several parents and I sat at the table watching the class as the teacher directed them with Halloween and Fall songs passing the time until it was time to line up for the parade where parents will be watching. The parade took place outside where hundreds of people were standing and watching. A friend of mine took a photo of Sportsboy wearing his costume.
Now, I get to take Sportsboy out trick or treating. I am excited because I want to share traditions that I experienced with him. His first time was last year. My brother took him. I think it was awesome that my brother volunteered to take Sportsboy.
Oh yeah, one more thing. I was cornered today to help prepare for some activities next week. Not a problem because I do believe parents should be active in their child's school for many reasons. Parents and School staff need to work in the best interest of the childrens.
I also want to give a shout out to: Sportsboy's school, Great School for being 16th out 115 schools in four counties!! WOOT! Last year they were number 52 out of 115. I congratulated the principal and secretary for a job well done.
