No, we did not hand out candy. I know, I know. I want to create memories, but yet I did not partake in this national event. Why? Simple, short on time. I need to be extremely selective on the activities we do. I came home from work and it was 5 pm and I did not have any candy. Plus we needed to be at the grandparent's house by 7 pm. We did not feel like we missed out on anything. Perhaps as Baby Princess grows, Geeky Dad and I may feel differently.
I did however buy a practical functional "costume" for Baby Princess. I am way too practical to purchase a costume that does not serve another function. So I bought a baby bear snowsuit to use throughout our Chicago winters. Cute! And yes, we took lots and lots of pictures.
