Oh No He Didn't

He did. Sportsboy threw a fit on the soccer field during the soccer game. I was kind of shocked because I didn't expect him to be like that on the field while playing a game. I mean Sportsboy is five-years-old, I thought he was passed the temper tantrum stages. Apparently not. I thought, hmmm...ironically the coach's son is being a 'poor sport'.

What happened was during First Quarter, Sportsboy was supposed to start the kick, but instead his teammate Sportsgirl kicked instead which upset Sportsboy.

So he didn't bother to try his best while playing. I was yelling at him from the field to get in the game. He didn't. As soon as First Quarter was over, I pulled Sportsboy out of the game and put one of his teammates in place of him, Day Dreamer who played pretty well actually. While Sportsboy was sitting out, Hard Working Hubby talked with Sportsboy.

By Third Quarter, Sportsboy was ready to play. He was in a better mood--like he never threw a temper tantrum on the field. Our team played well that one of the parents from the other team said to one of my parents that our kids are excellent and aggressive.

You gotta love kids and their surprises.
